Fr Miceal was my mother Peggy Kelly’s cousin. Met him a few times in Ireland and he and his sister Bridjo visited my home in America. I found him to be a compassionate soul and wish I could’ve spent more time with him. May he RIP.

Please accept our family’s deepest sympathy on the death of Fr Míceál. He was one in a million and we will miss him dearly. It will be sad not to send and receive a lovely card from him this Christmas. We were so lucky to have had him as our priest and dear friend in Firhouse. We have such fond memories of his hard work and dedication which helped us make our annual Christmas Bazaar into the stuff of legends. Love and eternal blessings and may there be great rejoicing in heaven to welcome him home.

So sorry to hear of Fr Micéal’s passing. I have very fond memories of him as parish priest in Loughlinstown when I was growing up. He was a dear friend to my family & he officiated over our wedding in Laois 17 years ago. May his gentle soul rest in peace. 🙏🏻

Miceál on his regular visits to them in Galway down throughout the years. We also had Fr. Miceál concelebrate at our Wedding some 26 years ago. Deepest sympathy to all the Hastings family on Fr. Micheàls death. We first met him in Ballybrack and then he did everything to get a church in Loughlinstown.for the people. He also was instrumental in building two of the finest schools. He officiated at our baby sons funeral and was so helpful over those dark days.
He also officiated at our daughters wedding in Laois 17 years ago.
He also traveled down on the train for a rehearsal.as he liked everything done right. It was a pleasure to also have Joan Skelly at the wedding as she and Gemma were good friends .
We have so many great memories of Fr.Micheal who was a pleasure to know .

I am so very sad to hear of Fr,Miceals death.He was the priest who established the Parish of Firhouse.He visited my late husband the day before he died.and saidPadraics funeral Mass which was so comforting.They were great friends and most of the conversations were about football.,,Maybe his dear Mayo will have a better chance in the future.Deepest sympathy to his family/May flights of angels sing him to his eternal rest'

My deepest sympathy on the death of Fr Miceal Hastings.may he rest in peace. He was a wonderful Parish Priest, in St Gabriel 's church Dollymount. When I was transferred to Vienna he came and visited with us, we enjoyed his company very much and were saddened to hear of his passing.
