We met Fr Michael in Mongu, Zambia in the early 70s. He was a wonderful missionary. We would like to offer our sympathy to the Capuchin community and his family. May he rest in peace.

Dear Mar, Rose and our Ballybahollow cousins. We are thinking of you at this difficult time and send love and condolences. On behalf of our late Dad, Martin, (who admired Paddy for his athletic prowess)and our Mum Joan, we are with ye in Spirit today. Fr Michael ( Paddy) was a brother/ uncle to be proud of, one who brought about such positive change in his lifetime. The light of Heaven to him.

Deepest Condolences to Mom and Auntie Rose, the Capuchin Order as well as to all my cousins on Fr. Michael's passing. Unfortunately Christine and I cannot be there in person today to pay our respects to Fr Michael and join online instead.
Fr Michael was an amazing person, with a ready smile and sense of fun, a penetrating gaze, straight talking, as well as complete devotion to his mission.
My most vivid, of my many memories of him, are his celebration of our mariage ceremony in 2006, the wondrous slide show he made of his time in Zambia in the late 70's, as well as kicking ball with him in the field across the road from house in Killinane in the early eighties when he could still kick a ball to an enormous height while in his late forties. A man who was fit in mind and body throughout his life, he will be missed.
May he rest in peace in his eternal reward.
