It was with deep regret i received the sad news of father Pat Coogan death. This is one of the most inspirational figures i have ever met. Pat devoted his life to improving the lives of others. He was John Hume like in his pursuit of getting things done, he did not take no for an answer and this is a major reason why he was the most successful charity organisation in Ireland. i had the privilege of working along side him on his leadership team for a year and i found him hugely energetic, super intelligent and above all fair. Ireland has lost one of our finest citizens and Father Pat shied away from pomp and ceremony, he never sought the limelight but the proof is there that he was the most successful Housing Minister that we never had. To father Pat's relatives i say this you can be hugely proud of his remarkable achievements, may Pat's gentle soul rest in peace. Willie Burke
