Ora stai con gli angeli e canterai con loro in Paradiso.....riposa in pace Francie!

My deepest sympathy to the extended Higgins clan on the death of your beloved Francie. He was such an entertaining man full of wit and good humour. I was priviliged to play on the St Marys team captained by Francie which lifted the Fr Mc Evoy Cup ( Louth Div ii ) Champioship in 1969..That team was comprised of veterans of many battles with a few young lads thrown in to do the running. Later in life, in his capacity as one of the foremost stonemasons in Ireland , I remember him laying Bruges cobblestones for my ex employer at his home in Ballsbridge, where Francie also
designed and bullt a replica of the famous bridge over the Swilican Burn at St Andrews on my ex boss's three hole private golf course..Francie was truly a richly talented stonemason and there are many examples of his work in county Louth, Meath, Dublin and Kildare.. A great supporter of the Louth gaa team...may the soil of mid Louth envelope him in its arms..God rest his gentle soul.
