Gerald, you were such a character and never failed to make me smile from ear to ear! His love of a pint and a chat will be missed and the support he gave me in difficult times. I'll always remember his endless generosity and wise words. Thank you for being such a great influence in my life, and I'll miss you always. xxx

Gerald was a great person and he was a lot of fun to be with. Out of all the elderly people I have ever met to date, he was the most active even after crossing 90. Life is movement and that was Gerald, always looking to do something or get something done. His attitude was inspirational. I am going to miss him like many other people here. May his soul rest in peace.

Gerald was one of a kind. Of the many things I will always treasure was Gerald's quick wit and his fearlessness in telling it straight. I always admired this. I will also fondly remember my many visits to Wembley - visiting 207 Park Lane was always a highlight of every trip because it was home away from home. Both Gerald and Kathleen could not have been more generous and more welcoming to their house and to London - whether it was making sure I was well fed, or had one of Gerald's special taxis booked (versus wasting money on an official cab), or going for a pint (or two ;-) It May you rest in peace and be reunited with Kathleen. Love always

Amongst the many memories, I have fond ones from a time when I was young and life for our family was less bountiful than in later years, Gerald and Kathleen were generous both in kind and in thought during these tough times.
I deeply regret not being able to bid farewell to Gerald In person, a farewell that befits his stature and the respect he commanded amongst the extended families, also to share with you and support you in your grief.
