Nessa, Niamh and Garrett, I knew you and your lovely Mam vaguely growing up in Ennafort years ago, but came across Gaye in the last few years playing bridge on a Sunday afternoon in Malahide. She was witty and smart and I admired her so much, whizzing round in her car, busy and glamorous. We laughed so much out there. I only heard the sad news yesterday and I felt so sad. My sincere condolences. Mary Deane (Bergin)

Deepest Condolences to all Gaye's family & friends. I had the pleasure of spending the past couple of weeks around Gaye, she was a character with such a soft heart but would also speak so honestly, we would laugh at how blunt she could be. She always spoke highly of her Daughters & her only Son. She cherished all her grandchildren and told me how proud she was of all of you, so keep making her proud. She will watch over you all. Fly high Gaye missing you already xx

We are so sad to hear about Gaye's passing. My father, Frank, has many fond memories of holidays with Gaye & Peadar including cruise holidays. Lots of Irish coffees consumed! My mother, Gertrude, & Gaye became friends through the Ennafort/Cill Eanna residents association in the 1970s and remained friends for more than 40 years. Every Thursday they would meet for drinks and supper in each others houses for many, many years. I have fond memories of Gaye teaching us swimming in St. Paul's swimming pool. Rest in peace xxx
