Gary really cared about his patients and his colleagues. His compassionate attitude, warm humour and gentle soul were gifts he gave daily for many years to all at Hayward House. To all who loved him and miss him, please know he will not be forgotten. Thank you Gary.

Gary was truly a shining light in this world. He was one of my biggest fans and promoters of my music. He loved generously, he shared, he was kind, he was passionate, he was warm and a truly beautiful soul. It brings tears to my eyes to write this message but I will only remember him fondly. Thinking of Gary’s family and parter at this very sad time. I had the pleasure of working with Gary for 9 years at Hayward House, as a colleague and also a friend.
Such a brilliant man, so funny, he just knew how to brighten up the room. Our patients loved him and he would always take time to talk about their lives, families and interests, to help them feel calm and cared for.
You’re missed so much and will always be remembered with a big smile and for making us all laugh.
