Well where do you start ???
first of all and foremost Gay was a ROCKER,
One of the corner stones of Rock united then moved closer to home and joined Park Celtic and then on to Cabinteely and at all clubs you were the main man,
You can now manage the ones gone before you Kenny, Sean Carr, flexi and many more ,
In Blackrock and the BORO there were many many characters but GAY you were simply the best.
Gay Thanks for the Memories

I don't think there are words that do justice to describe the larger than life Gay. Throughout my life I was lucky enough to witness the many wind-ups and tricks Gay pulled, with each one more funnier than the last and the attention to detail was always remarkable, I'd always remember calling into Craig and him saying (in hysterics laughing) "look what my dads after doin", and every time I'd be in stitches at whatever prank it was. This was Gay always looking to have the best laugh and his cheeky grin would always be the seal of approval that the prank was going to be a cracker.

I am so sorry for your loss Josie, Craig and Laura. Rest in Peace Gay, gone but will never be forgotten.
— Shane O' Sullivan and Jordanne Murphy

Josephine, Laura, Joe, Olivia, Craig and Ainé, I'm so sorry you have lost Gay. He was a character like no other. I will always remember when we were in Gran Canaria for Craig and Ainé's wedding, and we booked a boat tour. At the start of the day out the man who had sold us the tour was paid by the tour operators for bringing us customers to them - they paid him very little and treated him badly. Gay was not happy about this. When we returned from the boat tour, Gay went down to the beach, found the salesman, thanked him and gave him a tip. That was Gay; funny and loud, but also kind and fair and warm. Goodbye Uncle Gay. Rest in Peace
