Gene was the very emdodiment of what individuals contributing to their community is all about, and he willingly gave so much in so many ways to the benefit of the Fossa community, often doing tireless work quietly in the background.

He was an extremely kind and decent person, who had an endless knowledge of local history. He contributed hugely to the establishment and growth of Fossa GAA, and his passing is a huge loss to the locality.

Gene was a hero to us all growing up in Fossa. He believed in people and community and worked quietly for the greater good. Always encouraging, smiling and wise he leaves a legacy of memories.
