I'm am utterly devastated as I only recently found out about George's passing. He was an absolute gentleman and it was my pleasure to have known George albeit just to speak to him in his shop . Sending Christian and all the family my heartfelt condolences.
— John Europa Foods
Sincere sympathy to the King family on your loss. George was such a lovely, gentle and kind man. He was always so lovely in the shop. The quality of his meat is always excellent, so much so that my son always compared mince bought elsewhere to George's. He'd say," Ah Mam, it's not George's" My vegetarian daughter and her vegetarian fiancé always come to our house if we have a George's BBQ and love the lamb burgers! We even have George's BBQ on Christmas Day, as well as his super turkey and ham.
He was such a great supporter of Rathfarnham Concert Band every year. We thank him for that.
George will be sadly missed on Barton Drive.
Thoughts and prayers to the King family.

— Jean Dunne, formerly 93 Barton Drive
Every one of the condolence messages that I have read have been quite right in saying that what a nice man George has been in his life. George has had a family of 4 children and of course his wife Marie. So it is very sad to see that George has been taken away in what is in these days a young age. The many tributes show how many people appreciated George as a man. Both Eileen and I live in Jersey and it would have been lovely to spend some time with George and the Irish family, unfortunately Covid has prevented us from doing that.

Our sincere sympathy to all immediate family. Hope to see you all soon, Kevin and Eileen Herve
