My sympathy to the family of Gerard. I met him at the Kerry Social Farming tent at the Ploughing Championships. He was doing a wonderful job promoting this project and he was so passionate about it. I was very interested as I have a special needs boy. I probably spoke with him for about five minutes but in that timeframe he had given me so much information about that wonderful project. He certainly was one of a kind. You his family must be so proud of him, May he Rest in Heavenly Peace.

Dear Mary Anne, I met you and Gerard at Old Trafford when you took Earl there for his 40th birthday. I just saw something about Gerard on Facebook so I looked up RIP and I was so saddened to see that he had passed away. What an amazing man he was, what an amazing couple you two were for what you did for that man Earl. You both certainly possess a rare quality and as I was a stranger I could see that Gerard made sure that Earl got to see everything. I will never forget the time when the tour guide put Earl sitting on the Manager's chair and asked him a few questions to make him feel so important. Gerard, the Lord will reward you for your compassion, kindness and love. From reading the condolences you were an extraordinary person. May you enjoy Eternal Peace and sincere sympathy to you Mary Anne and all the family.
