Condolences to Gerry's family and close friends. We both have fond memories of working in Aloysius ward under Gerry's leadership. He was kind, caring, funny and a great manager, he led by example. When we were short staffed he rolled up his sleeves and got stuck in which made us feel so supported and in return we all felt huge loyalty and respect for him. He supported new initiatives, encouraging change and progression. He brought out the best in others. Gerry will be sadly missed may he Rest in Peace. Marie and Phil

I am so sad to hear about the sudden passing of Gerry who was a guiding light to a young nurse in the early 90s in SVHF. He was also a Man U fan like myself and we had many a discussion on how to fix the issues in the club until Sir Alex came along. The rest as they say, is history. Condolences to his family and may he rest in peace 🙏
