Gerry Malone

Was so so sorry to hear of Gerry's passing. I knew him as "Pat the baker" where we both volunteered in Ennis due to his regular gifts of the scones he baked and brought in. I really enjoyed his company, character and sense of humour. May he truly rest in peace.

Erin, Imelda, John and to all Gerry's family we are very sorry to hear of his passing. Ye were wonderful to be always by his side. Please know that we are praying for you all. We can take great comfort that our boys received tremendous care in their final weeks at Milford. It was always a pleasure to meet ye while we had our cups of tea. May Gerry rest in the peace of Christ.

Gerry Malone touched many lives in ways not always known to those around him. As a charitable befriending volunteer he used all his great personality traits including natural empathy and listening skills to great effect. He spoke frequently and lovingly of his daughter, Erin. I extend sincere sympathies to Erin, Gerry’s family, friends, neighbours and all who mourn him. RIP Gerry.

Said farewell today to childhood friend,Gerry Malone.Hot summer days in the Rocky,St John of Gods,the steps the island and above all the green in Cornmarket where we played with our pals from the ten houses as we knew them.Gerry was witty humorous intelligent charming but above all else he was kindness personified.He never let life get the better of him and to the very end he brightened our spirits even when he was the one in pain.A legend a one off he said it best himself Vaya con Dios muchacho.
