To Sarah, Fra, Caroline, Lucy, Helen, Gill and Miley, I am so very sorry to hear of your lovely mum’s passing.

I would have loved to be able to make it to reminisce with you all; I have so many lovely memories of full weekends spent in Pallas without bothering to go home, and of always being made so welcome. Standout memories include the big kitchen table, the first VHS player I ever saw and the sweaters Aunt Judy made to order every autumn!

Gillie (Mrs Connors to me!) was always kind, always smiling and such a gentle lady. She praised me putting a little pony over a foot-high jump as though it was the Puissance! I will always remember her fondly, as I’m sure will so many others. May she rest in peace.

To Caroline, Miley, Sarah, Francis, Lucy, Helen and Gill.... I'm so sorry to hear about the passing of Gillie. I have many fond memory's growing up through my teens of my time in pallas and Gillie supporting me and welcoming me into the home. The summer sleep overs with your European students - I often think about them. Do you remember Mercedes? Old Sean use to tease her awfully and Gillie always told him off. And she catered for me so well around her table every weekend - even though I was a picky vegetarian. I'm pretty sure her amazing soup had turkey stock in it but she wanted to make sure I had something warm in me during those cold winter yard days. And she cared so deeply for the horses..... Aware of the over use of crops and spurs and asking was it needed - I couldn't agree more.

I hope you all hear many more stories about your lovely mother, and spend time reminiscing together. Sending my love and deepest sympathies, from myself, and the rest of the mcmahon family
