It was with great shock and sadness that I learned of the death of Grainne. I first met Grainne in 6th class in Carrigallen Primary School and we went through all of secondary school together. Grainne was always good humoured and happy and a truly lovely person and a great friend. We both loved reading and manys a magazine was swapped between us down through the years. Sincere sympathy to her mum Bernadette, dad Sean, sisters Eimear, Orla, Mairead and all the extended family.

Grainne was just wonderful - a committed civil servant, an outstanding private secretary, a really caring person and a great shopper. As well as keeping me in good order workwise, I was up to speed on the latest restaurants, shops and plays. We had great fun and I will miss her terribly. My condolences to her Mam & Dad, to Eimear, Orla and Mairead and to all her family. She spoke about you all often with love and pride.
