Grainne Lynch

Sadly I have only heard this news about Grainne, Grainne was our teacher in Roscommon. She was a lovely woman and a fantastic teacher, it was a pleasure to have known her. I'm very sorry for your loss. May she rest in peace.

We shared a lot of fun times, both in and around Adare, and in Greenwich, in our teenage years. It's hard to comprehend what you must all be going through and I am truly sorry for your loss. Dear family, I am aching with Gráinne’s passing and sending all of you strength, peace, love and hugs, especially Sadhbh. I have many memories with Gráinne but I’ll share one from London. About 30 years ago (!!), I visited Gráinne in London and we planned to celebrate the new year together. We got all dressed up and went to a party somewhere. I remember we waded into the crowd together, both of us spinning to the music. We looked at each other with big smiles and then we didn’t see each other again until well after the new year! We laughed nonstop recalling the adventures we’d been on and vowed that we would never tell them to anyone else. So don’t ask! I will miss everything about you Gráinne.

Gráinne became a close friend after meeting in Crete and became my neighbour when she was here. We shared great adventures together.
