Sincerest condolences to Greg’s family. He was a true gentleman and was always ready to help and provide support. He will be sadly missed.
— Peter O'Carroll
You taught me mass transfer & other dynamics back in the AlbertCollege and Grattan building.

You were solid and seemed a real person, good, contented being a positive friendly breath of nice fresh air in your class or if you just happened to have about.
Saddened by your passing and enlightened with some of the lovely tributes that were shared.

I only remember you from back in the 90s so I'll always think of the young you.

You're a pure spirit who can be proud of having burned bright and you'll keep shining

Mass Transfer!

Sincerely Eoghan
— Eoghan MacPhaidin

Irish Higher Education was beyond lucky to have benefited for so long from the unparalleled honesty, wisdom and engagement of Greg Foley's unfailingly acute analysis and his advocacy for the best interests of students in most challenging times. He shared his insights so fearlessly and generously, and in such a human and witty way that he was to my mind the most able and most influential of Higher Educationalists on this island over the past decade. I extend heartfelt sympathy to his family, friends, and colleagues on this enormous loss. Suaimhneas síoraí dá anam uasal.
