Sorry to hear the news that greg has passed. Knew him going back over 40 years and many a good Craic we had down the edgers bar. So many of the old school gone now sadly. My sincere condolence to David and all the family and friends. Rest in peace sketcher.

Sincere condolences to Declan, David, Mark and the extended Kenny family. I grew up in Craoibhin Park and Greg was known as a great footballer and boxer. When he set up Bracken boxing club we were some of the first members and spent many Monday, Wed & Friday nights down there under the coaching of Greg & Dan. Greg was always tough but fair and when I sparred with him he would always give me a little reminder of his ability speed and power when I let the guard drop. Not his hardest jab but enough to teach me a lesson. In all the years since then when I came across him (mainly at funerals) we had a good chat. Highly respected and sadly missed! RIP Greg!

I have learned with great sadness of the passing of your husband, father and grandfather. I got to know him from The Milestone a number of years ago. I always found him approachable and friendly. He had great wit and he did not suffer fools gladly. Matter of fact, he did not suffer them at all which i liked about him. I suppose you could say he Greg had his detractors, but then again, don't we all. This did not bother him because he knew he had done a lot of good in his life, whether that was through his work or his sporting life. "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone" is an old adage that springs to mind. To his wife, sons and extended family and friends may i convey my deepest condolences. I would certainly be glad to attend the funeral but due to health issues at present this is not possible so sorry for this. May Greg (Sketcher) Rest In Peace in the Lords Heavenly Kingdom.
