Ah just heard of the passing of Hank a true gent and colleague in SIAC for so many years. Although I think he did like kicking us soccer players during the annual work 5 asides during the 80's.

My deepest sympathies to Paul, Pat and Michael and all of those affected by the loss of such a magnificent man.

My memories of Hank couldn't be fonder. He had a wonderful innate talent of making you feel completely welcome, and at home in his house whilst at the same time being able to warmly take the mick at of you. He was great banter and was able to take it as well and give it. His genorosity was greatly appreciated. I have lovely memories of him enthusiastically sharing with me a selection of organic ciders that he had just selected. Hank getting as much pleasure from their imbibement as the shared experience.

His humour will be my abiding memory of Hank and of his interactions with his family full of warmth, love and pride.
— Eldon Hilliard
