Your father led a remarkable life. He was one of the finest individuals I have ever met and I was truly lucky to have known him. Hans Peter was a real gentleman whom I respected and admired. He touched a lot of people’s lives with his kindness and generosity — mine included. I will miss him greatly.

My Deepest Sympathy to his sons Jason, Stefan and Hansie, daughters-in-law Louise and Ruth. Grandchildren Clara, Sylvan, Bethel, Derry, Ewan, Lou and Eryn. Sister Klara and Brother Walter, extended Family and Friends.
I was hugely fortunate to have known Hans and Derry, (almost) from the time they first arrived in Cashel. We remained friends throughout the decades (despite intermissions in-between). In a "Lifetime" that, we are gifted with one good friend is great, but, to have two is a privilege.
Hans, was not only a gentleman, a modest man, he was a "Brilliant Chef" also, a man with an innate curiosity and an " Amazing Visionary". Proven, by his combined capabilities to convert a 200 year old abandoned/vacant Church into one of the best known Restaurants in the Country.
Hans and Derry's Legacy was, their combined and substantial contribution to enhance the profile of Cashel. People came from far and wide to relish the "Chef Hans Experience". Irrespective of their success, they never forgot the huge welcome that they originally received from the people of Cashel. They insured the continuation of the Legacy, through its continuity by the next generation of their Family.
Hans, is now re-united with his beloved Derry, his soul-mate, his business-partner, his wife and more importantly the mother of his three lovely boys, Jason, Stefan and Hansie (whom, I have known since they were babies.)
Hans, you can now, Rest Dear Friend, you are back where you belong.
