Dear Liam, Karen, Cliodhna & Roisin,

I was so deeply sorry to hear of the sad passing of Hilda. I’ve been hearing stories from Cliodhna of her nanny for a long time, what a strong woman who will be remembered lovingly, always. Sending our thoughts and prayers to all family during this difficult time.

It is said that grief is all the unexpressed love we have for a loved one. It is that grief that will remain with us until our time comes to pass. I hope this grief stays with us, because it is all the unexpressed love we never got to tell Grandma Hilda, even though we told her every time we spoke. Life is sacred and life is short. Her life is a reminder to not fret the little things, to live life to the fullest, and to have that extra pint. We are all deeply saddened by the passing of Grandma Hilda and that we are unable to be there. She will be forever in our hearts.

May I extend my deepest sympathies on the passing of Hilda. Though I never had the pleasure of meeting her, her picture reveals an active mind and happy disposition. She probably had her hands full with you as a nipper but I'm sure she relished every moment of it. I am back working almost full-time now including each day next week so I will be unable to attend any of the services. However, your Mam, you, and the whole family will be in my thoughts and prayers.
