I was privileged to know Don from doing the Lotto in Lucan Sarsfields for the last 15 years approx. Every night our team was on duty, Don was there supporting the Lotto and thereby supporting the club. Very loyal. I was never more delighted than when Don himself won the jackpot, so well deserved after all the years of support.
I loved the way he embraced technology despite his advanced years and was chuffed when he added me as a friend on Facebook.
He always had a friendly word and a friendly smile. A gentleman to the core. He will be truly missed.

He took around 20 of us when we arrived up to the club at 5 years old, how passionate he was to teach us how to play. How patient he was with us always ,never got frustrated always smiling.
