So sorry to hear of Hughs passing, We were in the same class at Bandon Grammar many years ago, Hugh always sitting on the front row near the door & me hiding behind him so I wouldn’t get asked a maths question . He was a kind & gentle teenager who grew into a much loved adult. Loved by his family & rugby & farming communities

The news of Hughie´s death was a shock. Hughie was a gentleman; he enjoyed life, and he enjoyed sharing in other people´s joy. A lovely trait.

I was very sorry to hear about Hughs untimely passing. Hugh was an excellent farmer, always a pleasure to deal with and had such a passion and interest in crops and machinery. I always enjoyed my many trips out to Kellsboro with agronomy and trials work on his farm. He is a huge loss to the tillage scene locally and nationally.

To Fiona and the Hutchinson families, It was indeed with great sadness and shock that I Learnt of Hugh, s tragic and sudden passing He was a classmate and friend for six years at Bandon Grammar school many the game of rugby we had, later in life when working in Waterford I visited him on the farm in Kells, also met Hugh when in Kilkenny in The Club hse Hotel where we'd catch up on old times, A Gentleman of high esteem May Heaven be the man's bed, Deepest and Sincere sympathies.
