Kevin & family. I remember watching Hugh playing center field with Tom Molloy for Dowdallshill in the 80s and then had the pleasure of playing on his team in the 00s. The cold dark nights running on the racecourse prepared us for our most successful year. He was an inspirational coach and mentor. It was great that we had the chance to celebrate the treble win with him last month. May he rest in peace.

Hugh was a talented midfield player who was well able to hold his own in any company. Whenever we met, we would reminisce of our football days gone by. Hugh was such a likeable fellow, a gentleman, with his hearty laugh and cheerful personality. I am proud to have known and played football with him. Thanks for all the memories Hugh. Rest in peace my good friend.
