Ian Brown

My name is Brian Crowley from Bantry. It was last night I heard the news of Ian's sad passing. I was a member of the Bantry Table Tennis club from 2006-11. I didn't know Ian personally but I did play him on several occasions in those years in Munster and School Rankings and without doubt he was one of the best I've seen play the sport and play against. My deepest sympathies to you all as a family. May Ian rest in peace.

So very sorry to hear of Ian's passing. Competed against Ian numerous times and he was such a fighter on the table and a really nice guy off the table. He was a good kid with a good heart. Sincere condolences to his family. The brightest candles burn the fastest. May Ian rest in peace.

Ian, only saw recently what a fantastic table tennis player you were, topping Munster way back at U14s in 2006, to being one of the best in Ireland by the time you were 17. An inspiration to other players, it's heart breaking and devastating that you're gone so young.
