I was shocked to hear of Irene's sudden death. She was a lovely, individualistic person whose company I always enjoyed. I will light a candle tonight to mark her passing and remember her when out on the Wicklow hills.

We had some great times myself and Irene at what she truly loved – sizing up properties, being the ‘Master Property Connoisseur ’ that she was. Irene spotted a bargain and then ran with it till the very end….outdoing all others as she got the deal through. The rhythm of her easiness in everything she encountered never faltered. Her kindness in understanding others and letting them finally come through for her in the end was legend. RIP dear Irene.

I shared Irene's serene presence on many Rambler hikes in the Wicklow hills. She was always an interesting and delightful companion. May she rest in peace.

Sincere sympathy to Irene's sisters and extended family. It was with great sadness to hear of Irene's passing in a recent accident. Irene shared her love of hill climbing with me and I have wonderful memories of many hikes we took together in Wicklow where she led uphill to view all of Leinster. I will miss her enthusiasm and kindness. May she rest in peace.

It was with great sadness that I heard of the untimely and tragic passing of our lovely friend Irene. Met Irene in the nineties in the Ramblers Walking club and shared many great walks. Kind, gentle, funny and bright. She was an inspiration to us all and she will be greatly missed. Condolences to Eleanor and Marie and extended family and friends. May you rest in peace Irene.

Our sincere sympathy to all of Irene's family. We were shocked toi hear of her tragic, sudden death.
She was a lovely gentle woman, we walked quite a few miles together over the years. We have memories of a trip to the Pyrenees and to Arran, Scotland on walking trips. We had not seen her since the Walkers Christmas party just a few weeks before Covid, where she looked elegant & was in great form. She has not been far from our thoughts since we heard the dreadful news.
Be easy on yourselves, this is a very tricky and difficult bereavement.

Very sad at the loss of wonderful, kind, discreet & generous Irene. So many happy memories flat sharing in Dublin & London. Hitchhiking in France, island hopping in Greece, NYC visits to Ann in NYC & later Boston & a fun visit to Budapest. We kept in touch via WhatsApp & met up in Dublin September 2021. She will be deeply missed.
