Deepest sympathies to Des on the loss of your mum Ita, a lovely person, and to all the Murray family on the loss of their aunt and grand aunt. I know you all held a special place in your hearts for Ita and that her death is a great loss to you all. I have particularly fond memories of the great celebration we all enjoyed on the occasion of her 90th birthday in 2017. I’m very sorry not to be able to attend the funeral today. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam dílis.

Sincere condolences Des, Denise and Fr Aidan. Ita was an amazing lady and such a great friend and support to our Mother Una for about 75 years after they met in the cloakroom on their first day in the civil service. We were always amazed at their nightly phone call 10 pm 7 nights a week, sometimes could last an hour. A legacy of great enduring friendship to each other. Great memories. Brian Larkin
