A mighty link in a chain of friendship has broken, Jack has gone. I met Jack more than 20 years ago while trekking with NCBI in Peru. He was my rock when the going got really tough in the mountains - one step at a time Dympna, It's not a race. For the next two decades we met regularly in faraway places as we travelled the world. He was a true gentleman, kind and helpful and very droll, nothing fazed him. I was proud to call him my friend. The world is a poorer place with his loss. Rest in Peace my friend.

It's with the greatest sadness and upset I heard yesterday Wednesday of Jack's untimely passing.

Jack was a living legend of NCBI -The Blazing Saddles charity cycling team and our trekking charity arm The Terracotta Ramblers-
Jack was without doubt one of the leading fundraisers in my 30 years working for NCBI - that is a fact!

I has the pleasure of travelling the World with Jack-on many charity projects - he was a confident of mine throughout and a great buddy!......
Jack was funny, witty, cute and a bag of laughs since we first met in 1991. I loved his company as did hundreds of others up and down this island.
Jack put simply was a true GENTLEMAN!.....
A part of NCBI is gone forever, irreplaceable in every way! - his many, many good friends in NCBI will remember and hold Jack in there hearts snd memories as my wife Alma and I will......

To his family, relatives and huge circle of nationwide friends I offer our deepest sympathies from all supporters, friends management and staff of NCBI.
Ar dheis de go raimh a ainm dilis.
