I fondly remember James' bright face and warm smile in Borris, Kilkenny and Aungier Street, as well as our heartfelt chats in its halls, with his rugby gear bag nearly larger than himself slung over his shoulder.

It’s hard to believe around this time last year we were in Spain celebrating our birthdays. The house is so quiet James it’s like everything is sitting still awaiting your return. The valentine’s flowers safely sitting on the wall. You always said you could never make me happy, I don’t think you realised I just wanted you to be happy. We crossed a lot of tough roads but I never thought 2024 would be the toughest road of them all. I know you are with me everyday, gently walking by my side. And in my dreams it’s beautiful and bright as we dance together in the morning light.
