Dearest Jim
I am deeply saddened to hear the news of your untimely passing. We met on what was the start of a four year plumbing apprenticeship, 37 years ago at Seltec College, Lewisham, South London. A class of twenty five enthusiastic fresh faced young men pursuing our career paths. The plumbing course was full time for the first year then two evenings and a day including 4 three week blocks for the remaining three years. We were all from various companies, you were with Lewisham Council. During that time we forged great friendships with each other. With the knuckling down of hard work we still found the time to have a good laugh and after four years, We did it! City & Guilds fully qualified plumbers. Of course, we all went our separate ways, further pursuing our careers. Sorry to say, we lost contact. I still remember it like yesterday, I have very fond memories of you, dear Jim. Clever, witty, decent, genuine, someone who could hold their own in a crowd. I can see from the condolences written you were very much loved and without doubt will be so so missed. That is testament to the decent person you were. One of the Good guys.
My heart and sincere condolences to your family at this very very sad time
God Bless you, Jim
Rest in Peace dear man
