James (Jim) Horan

Condolences to the family and friends of Jim on his sad passing. He was a gentle person who was easy to like and a determined and talented sportsman. He was missed in Clondalkin but not forgotten.

So sorry to hear of Jim's passing. I had the pleasure and privilege of working with Jim when he was a student in the bar in Newlands Golf Club.

We were from different backgrounds and I was younger in age but he was a joy too be around.

I doubt that he changed much in personality, so I know a bright light has gone out.

Haven’t seen Jim since he left “Newlands” for Australia. I was about 3-4 years younger than him growing up in Newlands but remember his running ability was an inspiration to us younger kids in the neighborhood.

Jim and Myself were classmates at Moyle Park. I was very sad to hear of his passing. My school memories of him were always positive. He was such a special person and so gifted with academic and athletic prowess.
The world needs more guys like Jim. He will be greatly missed. May he rest in peace.

lorraine, deepest sympathies, Jim was a gentleman , growing up we were great friends, apart from being the brainiest of our class, he was a top sportsman leinster champion runner great footballer total all round person, though hav'nt seen him much over the last 40 odd years am very sad today, really enjoyed meeting up with you both a few years ago in Sydney

He was a near neighbour in Newlands and schoolmate when growing up, with a quiet and gentle manner, and was a great athlete and sportsman. It was lovely to meet up with him and renew acquaintances again last year when he came on a trip back home. May he rest in peace.
