I was really sad to hear from Emma this evening of Jims passing, he was a wonderful man always so pleasent and friendly and always had time for a little chat

Deepest condolences to Jim's family. Like Denise (below), I was a colleague of Jim's at THS between 1978 and 1984. Our paths crossed later when we shared offices in Citygate and Sutton. Jim was meticulous with a great intellect. Always a gentleman. It's a pity there wasn't time for one more Indian curry (without peppers). Jim was my Best Man and Godfather to my eldest daughter. My deepest sympathies to Phil, Colm, Jenny and Robert. It was with total shock I heard the news of the passing of this gentle giant. I was lucky to work with Jim for a long long time. He always talked with great pride about his family, all their achievements and their love of music also you always knew his love for Derry. His dream was to open a fish farm and retire somewhere up in Derry. He was always a complete gentleman and was always there to listen and give advice. It was an honour to work along side him and be his friend. May you rest in peace Jim.

To all Jim's family on the terrible news of his passing, so sad for you all. Jim was my first boss in loss adjusting in August 1989. I was very very fond of him and learned so much from him. We had some good fun times and he always spoke of you all so often and with great love and pride and more recently when he rang me after my own Dad's death he spoke lovingly of you all and your own lovely children. A proud Derry man, a good Son, Husband , Father and Grandad. He was a very hard working, honourable, honest, loyal, funny, witty and just a nice man. I'm really sorry to hear of his death, may his gentle soul rest in peace.
