Sincere condolances to the Batten Family on the loss of Jimmy. I have nothing but good memories of him from my early days in ESB. He was a such a character. May he rest in peace.

So very sad to hear of Jimmy’s passing. Our sincere sympathies to all the family. A truely lovely person. So many great memories from the day he started in ESB. I smile when I think of Jimmy. I think he invented fun.

I have such great memories of Jimmy. From the times he took me away on holidays with the cararan club as a kid to later on in life where he gave me the confidence through encouragement to pursue a career that would make me happy. Always smiling, happy to see you and genuinely interested in learning more about what you were up to. He was a very funny man, mixing humour with acerbic lines for great comic effect. I remember as a kid a car ride Jimmy was giving me somewhere. As I threw a piece of paper out the window and he turned to me and said "do that again and you'll be next out the window". I haven't littered since! A really lovely man, I will miss him alot.

I just wanted to pass on my condolences to Jimmy's family. I worked with Jimmy many years ago and he was always so helpful and happy to share his business knowledge. I know he will be missed.
