Deepest sympathy to Friends & Family of Beloved Jimmy. In 2006 I attended St. Patrick's College. Along with my best friend, Andrew. Not long after our arrival we were at our favorite spot, 'O'Loughlins'. We met the 2 "Jimmy's" and instantly become friends, throughout our stay the 2 Andrew's and the 2 Jimmy's would meet weekly. The Jimmy's took us under their wings inviting us into their homes for tea and meals and those long conversations I will never forget. Years later my wife and I came to Carlow.As I went into O'Loughlins I noticed the picture of Jimmy Bolger hanging on the wall. I quickly learned that he had passed. The next morning I went to the butcher shop to give my condolences to Jimmy's family and ask how to track down the other Jimmy. Just like the fate that brought the Andrews and Jimmy's together years before, Jimmy just happened to be walking out of the butcher shop right as I was walking in. I couldn't believe it, we hugged and then Jimmy, myself and my wife spent the day drinking tea and having those conversations we did all those years ago. God blessed me by running into him that day or perhaps the other Jimmy played a part in us running into one another. Fate or not I am so grateful I shared one more special day with my friend, whom I will never forget. Jimmy did so much for me and I imagine the 2 Jimmy's are together again watching down on us. I am so blessed to have had them both in my life. RIP my dear friend, tell the other Jimmy hello for me

Very sorry to hear of Jimmy’s passing, he was such a gentleman. He was so kind to myself and staff when we were in the pharmacy next door to Brennan’s. Everyone loved him and always sang his praises.
