I remember calling into Grand uncle James and Seamus in Church street and feeling welcomed at all times. He was a cherished cousin of my father’s. May he rest in eternal peace.

So sad to learn of the passing of my cousin,Seamus.A true gent like his father and mother full of warmth and goodness.I was born in 6 Church St... Where I encountered his radiance and goodness.Later when he was in U.C.C .he stayed with us in Cork ..his interests in cars stemmed from his father Uncle James who bought the Mercury car at the World's Fair in New York. brought it to Millstreet ..It served many people in Millstreet for many years driving people to Mass and to Doctor etc.often with Seamus driving.We had many great chats over a few pints and his interests were vast and varied.I.shall miss them no more texts but forever in our hearts.
Condolences to Ted ...and Betty's boys and girl .sorry I will not be able to make it for the funeral but you will all be in my prayers.Goodbye slan cousin.Leaba imeasc na Naomh go raibh agat.

Sincerest condolences to Seamus,s many relatives and friends. Seamus had a vast knowledge of Ford cars and trucks going many many years as his late father James had as well. He could recollect clearly the various Ford vehicles and loved to talk about these forever and a day. It was a subject he cherished most of all. May his gentle soul Rest In Eternal Peace.

James's knowledge of the history of St. Patrick's Church, Millstreet was hugely impressive. We shall always associate him with his beloved Church Street. James has truly enriched the lives of All. Our sympathies to Phelim and Seamus’ extended family at this sad time. Seamus was a true gentleman, we often shared stories and he had a wealth of local knowledge. I was lucky to care for him in the Community Hospital and often served him a good pint before that!
