James (Ossie) Osborne

We offer all of the Osborne family our sincerest sympathy. We were very shocked to hear of James' death. He was always very kind and supportive during our time playing chess in Benildus and at various tournaments.
He will not be forgotten, may he rest in peace

I am extremely sorry to hear of James' passing. He was a wonderful teacher and mentor to the students of the Rathmines Chess Club. All the students were incredibly positive about James and Maura's kindness at the club. He will be very sadly missed. My condolences to Maura, Sam and the rest of the family.

James was a great chess teacher. He and Maura founded the Rathmines Junior Chess Club, an unusal step in those days, which produced many talented youngsters. He is an untimely loss to the Community. John Maher.
