Deepest sympathy to Peggy and the Kirwan family on the loss of Jim (Slim). He was a friend of my father and I first came across him in September 1973 when he tested me for my driving test. Our paths crossed again when he came to Government Building to clear his cars. To say he was a character is a total understatement. Being follically challenged he always produced a comb and called me "Curley". My abiding memory of Jim was to meet him in his pub, where he regaled us with his hilarious stories of his experiences as a driving tester. Rest in peace my friend.
