Jason McMahon

Jason, I only knew you for a year in university. I hadnt seen you in perhaps fifteen years since. And still, my overwhelming memories of you are side-splitting laughter, and warmth. I was only thinking of you recently, and so when I heard, I was shocked. You'll always be remembered by me as a kind soul and a wonderfully warm person. Thanks for sharing your joy with me. Love to all your close friends and family

I remember Jason from school as a kind, gentle person who always had something witty up his sleeve to make us (and often the teachers) laugh - a gift he gave freely, and that brightened my day more often that he might have known. So sad and shocked to hear of Jason's passing. I knew Jason well from Milford school and Castletroy College. One of the sweetest funniest souls I ever had the pleasure of knowing.

He will be dearly missed and my heart goes out to all his family during this tragic time.

Jay, I was lucky enough to have you as a best friend and my heart is broken that you were taken from us so soon. You were my rock.
Jay was the kindest, gentlest soul that anyone could have met, and anyone that was fortunate enough to spent time with him would agree that he was the exact description of a true gentleman with the best sense of humour you could get.
The memories I have with you bring a smile to a teary face. The concerts, the road trips, the weekly catch ups where we ranted about whatever was going on with our lives.
The first person I wanted to talk to when I heard the news, was you.
Kevin, Karen, Stephen, Sinead, Korya and all of Jason’s extended family, I don’t know the right words to say and I know that no message can take away your pain, but please know that I loved him so much, he was a wonderful person and I am so so sorry for your loss.

My sincere condolences to all of Jasons family and friends. I am so shocked to hear of his sudden loss. I know Jason a long time and worked with Jason in Coughlans Gala for a couple of years. Jason has such a great sense of humour - dark and dry, and always made me laugh. He was a gas man and really brought life to those Saturday mornings when i would relieve him from his opening shift.
