To Ann, Ian, Michael and Liz,

Sincerest condolences to you and your families on Jeanne’s passing. May she rest in peace. She was such a warm and highly intelligent person as a child and I enjoyed her company and learned so much from her and indeed her family. You must be so proud of her and all she has achieved. My family send their sympathy also and we think of Peter and Bernard too. RIP
— Marie O’Connor

Sincerest sympathy to you Jim and your extended family on Jeanne's death.
I have just read an obituary about your wonderful and so influential soul mate of so many years.
I regret that I never had the opportunity to meet or engage with her.
May she rest in peace.
— Damien Courtney
We were sorry to hear belatedly of Jeanne’s passing. Her personality, intellect, and love of the arts shone through all her activities. She was one of those people at a public lecture or event whose questions or responses afterwards illuminated as much as the talk or occasion itself. You always got a hearing when she was present. Such events will not be the same without her. Our deepest condolences to Jim and all the family.
— Luke and Dolores Gibbons, Dublin
Our sincere and heartfelt sympathy to Jim and the family on the loss of their beloved Jeanne. We were saddened to hear of her passing, only in recent days. As is evident from the many lovely tributes here and elsewhere, Jeanne was deeply appreciated for her contributions to academic and public life and her tireless commitment to protecting Ireland's heritage and environment. We remember her too for her love of the arts, especially painting and the National Gallery. We wish you peace and the comfort of family and friends as you mourn her loss.
— Pat O'Hara and John Callaghan
Dear Jim, sincere condolences to you and your family on the sad loss of Jeanne.

To Jim Walsh and family,

I wish to extend my deepest sympathy to you on behalf of the Office of Public Works on the death of Jeanne.

Jeanne contributed so much in her work as a Director of the Castletown Foundation working with OPW for the preservation of Castletown for posterity and for the benefit of the community and visitors.
Her public service stands, across many environmental and planning matters, as her legacy and her contributions to Castletown in particular, which were immense.

May she rest in peace.

John Conlon
Chairman

We are grateful for the boundless joy of having known Jeanne and of being part of her extended family. She has always been a loving, understanding, respected, generous, and a gentle soul - someone who spread positive energy and light, and who sheltered her family under her wings. In a single word, a 'wonderful' lady. It is incredibly difficult to accept her loss. We are struggling to find words that can express our sorrow.

However, we know that we will never forget you. You will occupy the most beautiful place in the depths of our hearts. We are certain that from wherever you are now, you will still look upon us with love.

Rest in peace beautiful soul.

As the Yazgı family, we extend our condolences to Jim and all the Walsh and Meldon families and your loved ones.

Dear Walsh and Meldon families,

Jeanne was a remarkable woman...strong, sweet, and deeply intelligent. She created a beautiful family, led an inspiring career, and lived a life full of joy and grace. I feel truly blessed to have known her thanks to Fergal and Burçin. I was lucky enough to be able to spend some brief time with her in her final days, when she continued to embody kindness and elegance in everything she did.

My heart goes out to you during this difficult time. The loss of a loved one is never easy, but I hope you find strength and comfort in each other as you navigate this profound sorrow....

With deepest sympathy and love...
Deniz...
