To Mary and Family,

We knew Jerry for around 20 years and are very saddened to hear of his death. It sharpens the mind of memories that we have of the many “meeting ups” we had, usually when we visited Ireland, but also occasionally in Scotland when he and Mary were visiting Jerry and Emma. These were always social occasions we very much enjoyed, although in the last few years his health has been poor. We remember the better times.

He will be sadly missed...a kind, gentle and considerate man

He was a true gentleman. I met him first on the sidelines in De La Salle College, at cup matches when Dermot was playing. I later met him regularly in the National Yacht Club, where he was always friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about both sailing in particular and life in general.
I know he will be greatly missed by you all, and by all his fellow members in the club.
