Now that the dust has settled on the sad passing of Jim, a reflective look back at his contribution to our Club over a lifetime of service. Jim was a Qualified Blocklayer, and his stamp of Quality is there for all to see, the Main GAA Hall, Ball Alley, Back of the Stand, Perimeter Boundry wall, the base of Cappa Lodge Dressing Rooms, the Boundry wall surrounding the water tanks.
He would also be the first to tell you that he wasn't alone in all this Construction work, but he was the leader.
The huge guard of Honour was for a man that a lot of people who were part of it didn't know Jim, so the fact that they were there showed respect for him and his family.
His collection of match programs was second to none, and the final piece of Music at his graveside " Clare my Heart my Home" generated a stillness, a stillness full of memories.
To his wife Josephine, children Thelma, Ian and Adrian, brother Pat, sisters Bridie, Margaret, Carmel, Nora, and Dympna and extended family and friends,
