Sincere condolences to the Hughes family on the passing of your beloved father. I have great memories of Jim running down the village and doing laps around the hurling field in the late sixties when he was still playing inter-county football with Laois. In the early eighties he was in charge of the physical preparation of the Portroe team that won North Tipperary Intermediate Hurling titles in 1981 / 1983. His contribution to these victories will be remembered with great affection by players and supporters from that era.

Go lonraí solas síoraí air.

I am deeply saddened to hear the news of your Father's passing. I will remember him fondly, my father Tom Dunne was a cousin. Growing up in New York my father always spoke of your Dad, and all his family in Ireland and i was able to meet him one afternoon at Margaret & Johns home in Salt Hill, to take about the family history. I enjoyed that visit so much, he had great memories and some stories of my Dad. Our deepest condolences from all of the Dunne family in New York. God Bless. ❤️
XO
