I am saddened by the death of this very fine man, Jim Dooge. I got to know Jim first when he spent several weeks at the USDA Hydrology Laboratory in Beltsville, MD, where I was stationed, in 1967. His knowledge and personality made him a very popular scientist there. Since then, we have been in contact on many occasions through the International Association of Hydrological Sciences. He will be missed by all who knew him. Blessed be his memory.
Onóir dom aithne a chur ar Jim sna 90í trí Cumann N. Uins. de Pól sa Charraig Dhubh.
Every conversation with Jim was invigorating and would leave you with a positive thought or two at least. I loved Jim's stories from academia or politics - and he had plenty of them!
It was inspiring also to see how active Jim was up to recent years internationally as a recognised expert.
Suaimhneas síorraí don fear uasal fíor nádúrtha ach fíor speisialta. Mo leithscéal gan bheith ábalta freastal ar an sochraid.
