My heartfelt sympathy to Carole and family on your loss. While including Jim daily at Mass in my memento of the dead, I see him as a permanent inspiration, and an effective intercessor in projects of human promotion.
— Fr Philip Griffin
Deepest sympathies to the Moore families on the sad loss of the larger than life Jim. I only got to know him when he enthusiastically brought the 'dream team' to Mullingar and we all believed he and Martin would bring proper League of Ireland football to Mullingar. Even though it didn't quite materialize, the thrill of it all was enough for the rest of us! He did a lot more for the town over the years, and it was always great to meet him at various matches and inside the odd pub where stories grew wings. Sorry we couldn't make his funeral, we had our own death in the family that week. Hope the good memories linger forever. RIP Jim.

I first met Jim in London in July 1994 and worked for him for the following 13 years. He was a gentleman through and through. Many a good night we had down through the years, and he was the same Jim when I met him in London in November last year - full of optimism and always had a story to tell. RIP JIM Dunmore finest. Since hearing of Jim death I have been thinking of the 5 years I worked for Scanmoor. Jim was a very decent guy for me never refused me a pay rise on two occasions gave as much as I wanted. Always happy to bring you to Rugby games at twickenham, football at Watford, croke park for hurling final in 2005, London Galway persons night in green park Hilton 2003, Cheltenham races. These occasions were like a 6/8 hour episode of have a got news for you. Hed have all the party laughing, until the big sleep or morning came. He’d organise a taxi home or a tailor to suit and boot you for a formal dress night. He was a very sociable and decent guy. To Carole and the boys Jonathan James Daniel and Joseph, the extended family you have suffered a loss that cannot be measured a fine dad and husband brother etc. I want to offer you my sincere sympathies on such a sad time. May he rest in peace. Suaimhneas siorai ort go deo sa bhflaitheas. May God bless you all.
