Deepest sympathy to Rose, Eamonn and Claire on the sad loss of Jim, or Big Jim as we knew him ,for the big hearted man that he was. Having met him in Vhi in the early days I was one of a small group of close Vhi friends that shared Jim's first expedition on the Shannon. Back then this became for us an annual event, but for Jim, it opened up a lifetime association with the river.
Jim's unique qualities made him one of a kind. We shall not see his like again.

Sincere sympathies to Rose, Claire, Eamon and the grandchildren on Jim’s sad passing. Next port of call was Leinster cricket club, followed by rugby in St Mary’s , Taverners cricket, tours abroad and finally choral singing with the Celtic Choristers MVC.
And wherever JB went there was music and merriment, ceoil agus craic. He truly made a wonderful contribution to any gathering he joined and one always left his company a happier person. May he Rest In Peace.
