It is with a deep saddness that we send these condolences to All of Jim's family & especially Maura, Deirdre, Ciarán & Dorothy.
In the 10 years that we lived in Moneygashel, Jim was a firm friend & I am yet to meet another person so sincerely dedicated & in service to family, friends & community. We never heard him complain or speak badly in any situation, no matter how challenging & Jim faced many challenges thoughout his life. A wonderful being that we are so grateful to have known & to have shared many memories with. The Burran, The Cuilcagh Walkers, the goat & poultry, grinds, love of the outdoors & many more.
Sending Love & Blessings at this trying time XXX

Deepest sympathy to Jim’s wife Maura, his children Dorothy, Ciaran and Deirdre, brother Patrick and all the family. Jim was a very intelligent, unassuming, friendly, caring family man, passionate about his great interests - the Irish language and the history and archaeology of his native area. The contribution he made to research, development and promotion of The Burren Park was immense. His enthusiasm, whether leading school tours, walking groups or casual visitors was infectious. Jim's spirit will live on forever in The Burren - 'his own back garden'.
