I can count on one hand the number of times that I met Jimmy and yet I know I will have him in my memory forever. He was truly an amazing man with great energy right up until the end. The last day I seen him we were dancing around Dinnys to the tune of 20 fiddles and afterwards went back to the house for a few tunes. It was great to see him in his element that day and great to have such a nice last memory of him. Im very glad I had the opportunity to meet Jimmy. My deepest condolences to the Campbell family. May he rest in peace.

I had the pleasure of meeting Jimmy and playing music with him in the Glen Tavern. He was a force of nature, a great musician with the energy to keep a session going. He was always very welcoming and full of stories. He will be sorely missed. My deepest sympathy to Peter and all Jimmy's family.

Although it's been many years since Jimmy and I had time together I remember his warmth and gentleness. He was the essence of "old" Ireland and his music was an effort to keep that "old" Ireland alive. May his spirit continue to do just that. My love and condolences to all my family in Ireland.
