Jim and Family

I was very sorry to hear of Joan’s death. She fought a long battle with cancer and was very stalwart about it

I grew up in the Cottages and Joannie Curry was a legend to me when I was young. She always held her own opinions and wasn’t afraid to air them. This was a big thing back in the 60s and 70s. My late Mother was very like her.

I remember babysitting the girls with Ann Nolan in the 70s when she and Jim were newly married. I have always had great admiration for her and will remember her fondly.

Gone but never forgotten RIP

We are so deeply sorry for the loss of Joan. Although we never met her we felt like we knew her through stories about the type of woman she was. A strong family woman who was kind and loving and if your children are a measure of how well you lived then she was an amazing woman. We have no doubt she will be sadly missed but know that she is finally at peace which should help to ease the grief and sadness you all feel. Sending you all of our love.
