Joan will be greatly missed by all of us. A great Irish lady who made us very welcome on each visit. We are thinking of Betty and family. May Joan rest in peace.
— John Kennedy and Family
Please accept my sympathy on the death of your relative Joan. What a dear, wonderful lady she was. Such a good friend, so kind and generous. She never missed doing someone a good turn if it were in her power to do so. She was such a happy person, finding pleasure in little things, sharing her joy and enthusiasms. A true Christian, may she Rest in Peace.

May Aunt Joan's sister - Betty, and her close family and friends know God's peace and love at this sad time. I have many treasured memories of time spent with Aunt Joan (also my God Mother) and of the cards, notes and gifts that she sent me over the years. She was a shy and yet very warm and caring person, very strong and full of integrity. She had a wonderful interest in things in the world around her that intrigued or delighted her and which she loved to share with others. We will miss her. May she rest in peace with her Lord and Saviour. With love and prayers from Katherine Sams and family and from Elizabeth Stacey.

Farewell Joan, thanks for being such a loving aunt, taking me away from boarding school so many miles away and treating me to an interesting 'escape' in BR.
Very fond memories, and the fun catch up we had in the hearse at your older sis' funeral.

My condolences to Betty and other members of Joan ‘s family.
I remember Joan so well, our paths first crossed in the 1950’s when Wyndham and I attended kindergarten in Bray. Joan was such a kind, smiling person, and she and Tommy, though both very shy, would always make you feel so welcome.
The move to Mullinahone must have been a shock, but Tommy, Joan and Wyndham embraced it, until Tommy’s untimely death.
Poor Wyndham must have felt the world on his shoulders, yet he made such a success of the farm, until tragedy struck. We used to visit with our boys whenever on holiday in Ireland, he was so generous in his welcome.
We also visited Joan in her lovely cottage in Stonyford, and as always we were welcomed with open arms.
Joan was a very special, warm, kindhearted lady, and I hope she now finds the final peace that she so deserves.
