I worked with Joe in a restaurant in Limerick. He trained me in, always made me laugh and settled me right into the new job. Joe brightened every day I was in there and I will cherish the fact that I got to work with such a fantastic, funny and friendly individual who I will always remember and keep close to my heart.

Joe, you were one of a kind and if love could’ve kept you here you would have lived forever my friend.

What a wonderful send off you gave to a wonderful young man. A truly amazing young man who did so much in his young years. Love & closeness filled the church. Mag & Tim, what a family you have and how proud you must be of them all. Joe was doing it his way, a young person making his own way in life & a voice for so many marginalised in society. Unbelievable & so rare especially in these days. The world is poorer without this young man, heaven is certainly richer. Joe Drennan, Ni bheidh a leithead aris ann.

Mag, Tim, Sarah, Ava, Marie, Richard, John, Kieran & Ben & Evie, you all did Joe proud. Take care xxx
